I have been at the coaching coalface for nearly 35 years at various levels, and actively conducting private coaching in the last 6 years. I am a Level 3 AFL Accredited High Performance Coach, with over 13 years of experience with AFL clubs.

My playing career included 100 VFL games with Frankston and Port Melbourne, as well as a summer stint with Nightcliff in the NTFL. View my History for more info.

I can proudly say that I have coached a number of young footballers that have been Drafted or Rookie Drafted into the AFL system.

The most recent being Cooper Simpson in the 2023 National Draft and Kynan Brown in the 2023 Rookie Draft

Others in previous years include players such as Aaron Davey, Josh Gibson, Harry Taylor, Adrian Deluca, Andrew Swallow, Chris Masten, Rhys Palmer (winner of 2008 AFL Rising Star), Cale Hooker, Josh Kennedy, Paddy Ryder as well as many others.

Along the way, I have been fortunate enough to have learnt my craft from a number of experienced AFL Coaches including Ken Judge, Rodney Eade, Paul Roos, Chris Connolly, Dean Laidley and Dean Bailey. I was mentored for a number of years by the highly experienced and widely respected David Wheadon.
